Stop the #EndSARS protests!
You’re here to see what this numbskull meant by that lousy headline, right?
Lol. I used it because I know you may not read till the end before jumping into conclusions.
The #EndSARS protests have been going on for a while, and as a result, you have heard a lot of bad news and have seen a lot of disturbing images/videos.
Your mental health has suffered a lot as you have exposed it to viewing pictures, reading updates and watching videos pertaining to the #LekkiMassacre, as well as the victims of Police Brutality.
You also became angrier when the President you begged and shouted at to give a speech eventually gave one which made you speechless. After his speech, the night was actually fun because of the funny posts, videos, jokes, memes and tweets that circulated the internet. Nearly everyone on my status was out of the country that evening. Many of my friends were in Canada, some in France and a few in Ghana.
Someone even said he likes the way we are actually using jokes to process the fact that we are actually in trouble. Lol. Real trouble indeed.
Due to the catastrophic state of the country, a lot of people have been, directly or indirectly, forced to stay at home. It’s been cool for some. It’s been bad for some. It’s been terrible for some. Regardless of your situation, keep reading. After all, the fact remains that you’re at home.
I actually don’t have much to write about, but I will give you 5 home hacks that I believe will make your current ‘stay at home’ experience a bit fun. You’re not allowed to try all, especially if you are not the owner of the house.😂 You can try all actually. It all depends on you.
So…
No time to waste time.
5 things you can do to make your stay at home more interesting:
Turn your home into a CINEMA.
Have you been to Silverbird Cinema before? Those movies are usually portrayed in a big large screen, right? I’m sure you love it. What if you can have exactly the same cinematic experience in your home? What if you can watch those movies on a big large screen from the comfort of your phone, without having to buy a BIG ultrawide Samsung TV or the latest Acer Projector?
You can do it without even spending a dime. Just a few minutes/hours of work. It’s very simple. Watch this 4-minute video to see how you can turn your Phone into a widescreen projector using a Shoe box.
Play Ludo! (not your regular style)
This is pretty common, but be sincere, do you actually take your time to do it?
I’m not a fan of house visits, but in the few ones i’ve visited, I discovered that 3 out of every 5 houses do have that ludo game stuff.
If you are not the only one at home, or if you could actually invite your multitude of friends over, why don’t you play a Ludo tournament?

It’s actually fun. I’ve done it once or twice with my cousins and it’s actually fun! No one wants to lose, but only one person has to win. So make it fun and extremely competitive. Set rules too.
If you don’t have the Ludo game, get one. It costs less than 1k. That’s if it’s up to ₦500.
Host a Karaoke or dance night.
This is actually fun, but I’m not really a fan of it😅
This doesn’t cost a dime to do. We all have favourite songs. Mine, for instance, are FEM - Davido, Bop Daddy - Falz, Joro - Wizkid, Way Too Big - Burna Boy, Zoom - Cheque, Fierce - Laycon, You - Omay Lay, Of Lagos - Mayorkun and Ginger Me - Rema.
I also have favourite gospel songs like Excess Love, Chinedum, Heaven on Earth, Yahweh, I’m Blessed and Ekwueme. If you know me well, you will also know I’m a die-hard fan of Ayefele.
My main point is that since we all have songs we all like, you can sing them together (in groups). It’s gonna be fun as long as you cooperate and don’t pretend. Don’t form/change your voice. This is not a choir presentation, neither is it a music concert. Sing freely.

Also, some of you are very good at dancing. Even though your leg work is out of this world, but as long as you can shake your body and jump like an antelope, you are good to go. That’s the main thing. It’s not only Big Brother party nights you should be dancing too. Get an MP3 player and play your favourite songs and dance freely with your friends and family members. It’s great fun if you can get everyone to cooperate.
WARNING: Last borns may not cooperate.😂

Organise a session with your family/friends where you get to talk about a lot of things, especially past experiences. Remember how uncle Jide used Dad’s car to take his GF out, or how you used your friend’s hotspot to stream and download a whole season.
For adults, it can be perfect when you all talk while drinking alcohol. DRINK MODERATELY.

Honestly, this can be fun, but it can make you say things you’re not meant to say.😂 So bro/sis, thread carefully. But be free.
Read a book.
You’re probably not the type that likes reading, but you can try it out. You may not know, but it’s actually fun. I’m not an avid reader, so don’t expect me to start telling you' ‘readers are leaders’ and all those kinds of stuff. If you’re a fan of reading, you will easily understand what I mean by reading is fun.
Although I don’t read novels, but you can try them. If you’re the business type, read a business book. If you’re into sales, read a sales book. If you’re looking forward to date that fine girl but you don’t know how to go about it, there are books on it. If you want to learn martial arts, there are books on it. You’re into cooking? Read books on it. Even if you want to be stupid, there are books on it.😁

There are books written for every aspect you choose to further in. If you’re in school (but at home currently), you don’t necessarily have to read school books. You won’t be in school forever. So read books on how to get a good job or how to start a business. Read any book you come across.
If you don’t know where to get books, get PDF copies online. Check out www.pdfdrive.com. You have the chance to download millions of books for free. If you have a group of sensible friends, organise book club sessions with them. If you don’t have, share this post with them. They too will become sensible, and you all can read books together.
If you work at a growth-oriented company, ask your boss to organise book club sessions for your team. Where I work, we have our book club sessions fixed for 7pm every Wednesday. You can do it too. Reading is fun. And the funny part is that while you read, you get to learn more, thus enabling you to become a better and more resourceful person.
Watch Korean Dramas (calm down😂)
I know I mentioned 5 at the intro, but I just remembered to add this. A very interesting thing to do to kill boredom is to watch Korean dramas.
There are a lot of interesting Kdramas out there. Get one or two to watch.
If you do not know where to download them, simply go to kissasian.sh. You will get to see thousands of Kdramas (including the ones they released this morning😴).
I hope with these few points of mine, I have been able to brain feed you and not brainwash you, convince you and not confuse you, that you can do any of those things during your stay at home.
Do you know that nothing will happen to your phone if you actually SHARE this post?
It costs 30 seconds to comment. Please let me know the one you look forward to try out during your short stay at home.
I release interesting articles daily. You can be the first person to know about every single one I release. How?
